1、检查种公兔，创造适宜的环境。配种前要对种公兔进行检查，凡体弱、发育较差、有病以及有血缘关系的公兔，都不能交配。有条件的地方还应对种公兔进行精液品质检查。确定了公兔后，将公兔笼中的食具全部移出，并在笼底垫一块大木板，以免兔爪夹入笼缝中扭伤。
